Starting a Blog & My World Building

Hi, I'm Jimagerda. Aspiring Author-Artist. I have started this blog because I felt like it. I'm not sure if blogs are outdated or not. But I feel cooler having one anyway.

So far I have a youtube channel for drawings and letsplays; an itch.io page for my visual novels.  

 

I am working on finishing 'The Grotesque and the Gorgeous' (GroGor) visual novel (VN). A yandere romance game with 2 love interests. Set in a medieval fantasy land I made up. I want it to have 3 endings. One, an ending with King Lia; two, an ending with Kind Gia; and three, the Bad ending.

The plan for this year is to finish GroGor, and one other VN set in the same universe but different fantasy country/continent.

 

The Start of a Fantasy World 

The Map. It definitely needs improving. I am tempted to add contour lines but my geography sucks and I think I need to study how rivers flow. The ones in the image were mostly done randomly.

'Deep into the Dalliance' Map 1

Anyway, I plan to make 5 VNs, four short stories and one Epic named 'Deep into the Dalliance' (DeepDally). The first short VN is GroGor. Then the other three will be short kinetic stories aswell as the backstories to the romanceable characters in the Epic VN. The Epic story will have 6 love interests with many endings. (Possibly more than 12 endings if I've got the ambition for it). It's inspired by Baldur's Gate, Divinity: Original Sin 2, and ASOIAF. Yes, I am mad.

The Plan for 3 Kinetic Stories: 

1.    Delva resurrecting Nikola - POV Nikola
2.    Jacky and Roseo’s fling - POV Jacqueline
3.    Elio helping Ivar - POV Ivar

I think I'll start production of 'Delva resurrecting Nikola' this year. Of course, after I finish GroGor.

Things I'm struggling with is how to make dragons appear in the narrative, naturally. 😈 My dragons will be hybrids of crocodiles and giant bats. Like the Zorse, the hybrid of horses and zebras. Therefore, the dragons are rare creatures in the story and are sterile. One dragon is planned in the Epic, which is partially set in a cave. But what is its symbolism in the story? Can I just show them off all nilly-willy?

Another narrative struggle is my Goddess Ibe and her four demigod children. The Goddess is a pretty flimsy concept. I've enslaved her into being a moody, unwanted entity. Does this cause mystery or will it cause confusion and anger towards her? The demigods represent the four elements: earth/moon, fire/sun, water/ocean, and wind/air.

I've got to make more religions and history lore... I got the Godswain, Ar, the father of the demigods. His symbol is the Archerfish. The Archerfish who flew with a Goddess. He is named Ar because his son, the sungod is named Arson. L.O.L.

And the Violet Knight, entombed with a magical violet sword sticking out of him. He's stuck in the cave in the Epic VN, 'Deep into the Dalliance'.

Then there are the frozen sirens. That are a mystery to even me. 

Also, I need a simple title to call this series... Sohere Earth? Sohera? Sokera? Hereso Earth? I think I'll go with Heresoh.
